What was the opportunity?
CWDPO1 is East Asset’s crown jewel, together with BLWJ01 producing about of oil m3 ofgas every day.
In BP20, we had scheduled 3 shutdowns of 1 week each for this platform for 2021 to accommodate:
- Dropping spools for SRL change out
- Reinstating spools after SRL change out + CW52 spool reinstatement
- CW41 X-mas tree change out
What was the outcome? What can we learn from this story?
- With great teamwork and a lot of can-do attitude, we were able to cut one 7-day shutdown of CWDPO1 from the plan.
- This means that East will produce a total of this year.
- For BLNG this means that there is an opportunity for one extra cargo in April 2021 with the surplus gas.
What did we do?
- Going ahead with the plan would have meant that we are losing about of gas.
- The Team Was Not Satisfied Challenge the Plan to Improve With This and Worked on a Better Solution
- Due to a cross-team collaboration, a similar X- mas tree as CW41 could be secured and can be installed in one of the 2 shutdowns
- The team also managed to increase the scope in the first SD.
- With further optimization and 24hr support of resources and vessel, close communication with TWC, the integration team and engaging the execution party 6 months in advance, the team was confident to cut one shutdown.
