- Integrity issues for offshore pipeline risers is a major contributor to the population of red banded pipelines in BSP. A red banded pipeline is a pipeline with an estimated remaining life of less than 12 months. This can be due to existing severe defects or due to aggressive deterioration mechanisms like unmitigated corrosion.
- A comprehensive repair plan was developed in collaboration by OPI, the assets and FRT to conduct nearly 50 critical riser repairs in 2021. The team has delivered the complete scope as promised and also seized an opportunity to improve performance in collaboration with the OPI team by deploying coating repair and inspection work scopes through rope access.
